Colombian President Alvaro Uribe (right) and Ex-Im Bank Chairman and President Fred P. Hochberg (center) talk after a formal meeting at the Presidential Palace in Bogotá on Tuesday, January 19. At the meeting the two discussed the potential for increased Colombian purchases of U.S. exports as a result of Ex-Im Bank's approval of a $1 billion preliminary commitment for Colombia's national oil company, Ecopetrol, to buy U.S. goods and services.
